Yay! The Australian muscle cars are back and ready to fight on the streets of Adelaide. Why should we be happy about that? It means the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as well and, there has been !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! at the Clipsal 500 in recent years.

The Volvo of Scott McLaughlin was fastest in both practice sessions, but the Ford Falcons were fastest in qualifying. Scott Pye will start from P1 in the first race, Chaz Mosters starts from P1 in the second race.

They did race at COTA a few years ago. They signed a contract for 5 years at the time but canceled after one event due to costs and other changes. They also ran the “short” circuit.

Maybe they’ll come back, i recall having only a single race in the US wasn’t really worth the investment. Perhaps a second race say at Laguna would have helped.

Hooray the new season is starting soon! But are the Utes racing this season? What is going to happen when the Commodore production ends? Are they going to use new bodies or continue to run the old body style like the Utes do.

Utes are still racing, but it’s definitely going to change. Pickup trucks are going to replace them, here is some more info:

They keep on using the VE Utes, and not a single VF race ute.... :(

Those pickups look cool, and I really like the way they look. But the Ute so much cooler. Thank you for the info!

They should get with Robby Gordon and just tagalong with his series. They can do weekend events. Saturday for trucks, Sunday for Supercars.

It would also be really cool to see some of the detailed breakdown of what one of these cars is. I’ve never seen great coverage of detailed specs.

Kinda curious if there are any cool adaptations I could encorporate into my GTO/Monaro.

True, very strange they never used the VFs. Pickups look really cool indeed, would be nice to see them in Europe or other continents/ countries.
